The EU will be ready to sign an Association Agreement as soon as the crisis in Ukraine is settled and the country will not make any other demands for signing of the document.
President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz said this in an exclusive interview to UNIAN.
“The European Union is ready to sign an Association Agreement, including the deep and comprehensive free trade area, as soon as the political crisis is settled and all necessary conditions, which were agreed before Vilnius Summit of Eastern Partnership, are fulfilled”, said Schulz.
“There will be no obstacles or new terms on a way of signing. We, in the European Union, keep our word and expect that our partners will act in a same way”, - added the President of the European Parliament.
