The European Parliament will assemble for special debate on topic “Incursion of Russia into Ukraine” today. The sitting will take place in Strasbourg with participation of Co-chairman of the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Cooperation Committee Petro Poroshenko, the press service of the lawmaker disclosed this to UNIAN.

During his visit Poroshenko will also hold negotiations with European lawmakers, where they plan to discuss the current situation in Crimea and ways out of the crisis.

Poroshenko plans to discuss an issue on signing of the Association Agreement of Ukraine and the EU, macro financial aid to Ukraine from the European Union and issue concerning liberalization of visa regime for Ukraine.

Within a framework of the visit of the  Co-chairman of the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Cooperation Committee Poroshenko will hold meetings with the leadership of the European Union, in particular President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle and hairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok.
