Authorities do not impose state of emergency in the country, because it will lead to cessation of the electoral campaign. Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Victoria Syumar said this, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

“Why it is an anti-terrorist operation with involvement of the Armed Forces, but not state of emergency? Because imposing state of emergency will mean suspension of the electoral campaign at this territory that leads to grounds for doubts in its legitimacy”, - she wrote this on her Facebook page.
