Ukraine should work on eradication of corruption and strengthening of Armed Forces, candidate for the post of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko noted after the meeting with Vice President of the USA Joe Biden, the press service of the candidate disclosed this to UNIAN.
After the meeting Poroshenko stated: “The USA remains our reliable ally. A direct and sincere talk took place today. There were no curtseys. There were heard clearly put issues concerning how we can strengthen our interaction for reaching a goal on preserving of sovereignty of Ukraine and stabilization of the situation in the country, how to concentrate efforts for economic growth”.
“The key position is that Ukraine should start life afresh. We should unite the state for that. First of all, we should pay attention to those, who live in east of Ukraine. We should guarantee a security, job position of employment and permanent economic growth to people. At the same time there should be no tolerance to murders, there can be no tolerance to separatists”, - noted Poroshenko.
“Law-enforcement bodies of Ukraine should act resolutely. Law-enforcement officers should give an immediate and quick answer to all those, who did not use amnesty, those, who refuse to lay down arms, those who are not going to join a dialogue and to start a peaceful life”, - he added.
The second issue that was discussed at the meeting is tough and efficient struggle against corruption.
