EU states that Kyiv has right for ATO in east of Ukraine and expresses concern about exercises of Russia

The European Union states that the Ukrainian government has a right for conducting of the antiterrorist operation in east of Ukraine, and calls for a restraint in order not to aggravate the intense situation.

Spokesperson for High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton Michael Mann said this in an interview with UNIAN.

He expressed concern about a start of Russian military exercises near the eastern border of Ukraine and called on Moscow to withdraw its forces from the Ukrainian territory.
