A battle in Slaviansk (Donetsk Oblast) is taking place, there are injured people from both sides, said Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov being at the place of carrying out of the Antiterrorist operation in Slaviansk.
“A new battle in Slaviansk, there are injured people from both sides”, - said Avakov, the press service of the Interior Ministry disclosed to UNIAN.
“This morning a detachment of the ATO discovered an ambush – a combat group of terrorists. They use weapons, shoot from large-calibre arms, use mortars and other equipment”, - said Avakov.
According to the words of the head of the Interior Ministry, there are injured people from both sides. There are 8 injured people among Ukrainian soldiers.
He also specified that that battle began at 10.45 am. According to his words, about 800 people resist law-enforcement officers.
