Rompuy to take part in inauguration of newly-elected president of Ukraine

President of the Council of the EU Herman Van Rompuy will take part in an inauguration ceremony of newly-elected President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

According to an own UNIAN correspondent in Brussels, Rompuy said this at news conference in Brussels today, which took place on the eve of G-7 summit.

“I will take part in an inauguration of president of Ukraine”, - he said.

Moreover, Rompuy expressed hope to sign finally Association Agreement with Ukraine “as soon as possible”.

“We expect cooperation with the president of Ukraine”, - stressed the President of the Council of the EU.

As UNIAN reported earlier, inauguration of president of Ukraine will take place on June 7.
