He rules out early election in Kharkiv

Kharkiv Mayor Mykhaylo Dobkin claimed to journalists that the alleged re-election of Kharkiv Mayor is a mere Party of Regions-campaign.
“The election will take place in line with the acting legislation, in 2010, and in 2011 – the city council members will be elected”, - the Mayor said. – “It is a well-paid PR -campaign of certain people. Unfortunately, the government and some President’s family members, who live and work in our city, joined this campaign. However, as of today, there is no legal basis for the re-election”, Gazeta Po-Ukrayinskiy cites Dobkin as saying.
According to the newspaper, all those invited to the meeting were dressed in official suits, while the Kharkiv Mayor came in trousers and a white sweater. His right hand was bandaged. Asked what happened, M.Dobkin said he was bitten by Lutsenko.
