Foreign Secretary of Great Britain William Hague states that till Friday, June 27, the EU “has an opportunity to see how Russia reacts” on the peace plan of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin should not have doubts that the EU “can adopt further sanctions”.

According to an own UNIAN correspondent, Hague said this in Luxemburg today before the sitting of the Foreign Affairs Council of the EU.

“Till Friday we will have an opportunity to see how Russia reacts on the peace plan. Russia, President Putin should not have doubts that in the EU we are ready to take measures. A lot of work has been done (on preparation of sanctions). If it is necessary, we are ready to take these measures”, - he said.

The head of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said that President Poroshenko’s peace plan is “strong and very good”. “We hope that all, including Russia, will work on it”, - he stressed.
