Luhansk and Donetsk airports are under control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine today.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Petro Mekhed said this at press conference for mass media,

According to his words, military men are in the territory of these airports from the moment when they received a task to ensure security of these objects.

“All that is possible to do - they do, and quite successfully. We can say that they are heroes”, - he stressed.

Mekhed stressed that soldiers are provided with all necessary things in within the bound of possibility via air transport in a way of airlift delivery. There is a reliable connection with them.
