Video-conference with separatists, scheduled on July 15, with a goal to agree the terms of carrying out of the next round of consultations did not take place. The trilateral contact group calls on separatists to return to consultations immediately.
It is said in the statement of the Trilateral contact group of representatives of Ukraine, OSCE and the RF, who met in Kyiv on July 15. The text of the statement was given to UNIAN.
“The Trilateral contact group applied all necessary efforts for renewal of consultations with representatives of separatists in east of Ukraine. Unfortunately, a video-conference with separatists, which was planned to agree the terms of carrying out of the next round of consultations and which was agreed at the highest international level did not take place”, - it is said in the statement.
The contact group expressed “great concern about the fact that such consultations have not taken place since June 17”. “According to opinion of the contact group, it indicates on absence of a will from the side of separatists to hold negotiations concerning a cease-fire regime agreed by the parties”, - it is noted in the document.
Due to this fact the contact group called on separatists “to return to consultations immediately”.
