Speaker Yatseniuk blocked in hall in front of his cabinet

Party of Regions lawmakers blocked Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk in the hall in front of his cabinet.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, nearly 20 Party of Regions lawmakers gathered to block the Speaker.

Arseniy Yatseniuk informed journalists that the blocking was initiated by ex-deputy Prime Minister, lawmaker Andriy Klyuyev. “He just heard that journalists were nearing, and ran away”, Arseniy Yatseniuk said.

He also cast doubt that the plenary session of parliament will open today.

Asked by an UNIAN correspondent, whether the plenary sessions will take place this week, Arseniy Yatseniuk said: “For sure, there will be plenary sessions, if the Party of Regions unblocks the work”.
