After signing the law, Turchynov sent the law to the president for signing. The official title of the law is "On the special order for local government in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions" (registration number 5081).

As UNIAN reported earlier, on September 16, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a presidential bill "On the special order for local government in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions."

The law on the special status of certain areas in the Donbas stipulates the introduction of a special regime in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions for a period of three years, as well as the holding of early local elections in these regions on December 7.
