Kharkiv Oblast Council calls on to refuse Ukraine’s joining NATO MAP
Local deputies adopted an address to country leaders
The Kharkiv Oblast Council calls on the country leaders to recall their letter on Ukraine’s joining NATO Membership Action Plan.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, local deputies, on the initiative of the Party of Regions, criticized the document and adopted an address to the President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, and the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada at the session of the Kharkiv Oblast Council on February 28.
The address reads that the letter was signed “without taking into account the will of Ukrainian citizens, and, thus, it contradicts the principles and norms of law, which a democratic state is based upon”.
