Talking about the important decisions made by the Ukrainian parliament, Turchynov said: "First, we restored a democratic Constitution, and I believe that the most historic decision was the simultaneous ratification [of the Association Agreement by the Verkhona Rada and the European Parliament]".

"We are doing all we can for [Ukraine’s] European prospects not to be just political slogans or words on a billboard."

Speaking about the failures of the Verkhovna Rada, Turchynov said: "As for no action decisions, the government submitted documents so that in three years Ukraine could in fact become a European country that would be ready to join the EU.”

“Unfortunately, [these documents] were not supported because of the political struggle over the elections,” said Turchynov.
