Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, Dmytro Razumkov says that up to 17 lawmakers have contracted the coronavirus.

"I think that somewhere around 15-17 people have had the disease. If I'm not mistaken, two persons are still ill as of today," he said on Ukrainian Radio when asked how many Members of Parliament have tested positive for COVID-19, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

Yet, he did not disclose those lawmakers' names.

As UNIAN reported earlier, it became known on June 14 that MP from the Servant of the People parliamentary faction Maksym Perebyinis had tested positive for the coronavirus.

As of June 3, two lawmakers from the Servant of the People, Valeriy Bozhyk and Yuriy Aristov, and one from the Batkivshchyna parliamentary faction, Oleh Meidych, were on sick leave over the coronavirus.
