Ukrainian legislation should be amended to prohibit political parties to include in their electoral lists those cooperating with the aggressor state Russia, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Ivan Bakanov, has noted.
Also, Bakanov stands for barring from being elected persons with dual citizenship, according to the press service of the National Security and Defense Council.

- Local elections in Ukraine have been scheduled for October 25, 2020.
- At the same time, due to the impossibility of ensuring representation of common interests of the territorial communities in villages, townships, and cities of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, local elections of Donetsk and Luhansk regional council deputies shall not be scheduled or held in these areas.
- Local elections throughout Ukraine may be postponed in case the epidemiological situation worsens.
