Businessman Oleg Bakhmatyuk, owner of the Ukrlandfarming agroindustrial group, fails to make the list of 100 richest people in Ukraine.

The list is topped by well-known Ukrainian billionaires, while the last places were occupied by people with incomes of just a little over 50m dollars.

NV magazine together with Dragon Capital investment company has presented the annual rating of the 100 richest Ukrainians.

The first places, as in the previous year, went to Rinat Akhmetov, Viktor Pinchuk and Vadim Novinsky.

The total net worth of Ukraine's Golden Hundred is $34.8bn, with the $30.6bn of that is in the top 50 of this list.

Oligarch Rinat Akhmetov remains the leader of the rating. He has more than a fourth of the wealth of the 100 richest Ukrainians. Akhmetov's capital is 189 times larger than the businessman who is in the hundredth place.

The value of assets of the 100 richest Ukrainians is equivalent to 23% of Ukraine's GDP.

The results of the latest Novoye Vremya rating are broadly in line with the April rating TOP-100 of the richest Ukrainians by the magazine "Focus", which was published for the twelfth time - there the list is also headed by Rinat Akhmetov, and closes with a list of millionaires, whose income has reached the mark of 50 million dollars.

Interestingly, the list of the richest people did not include the agrarian businessman Oleg Bakhmatyuk, who before the outbreak of the war and the economic and banking crisis,  NV magazine together with Dragon Capital investment company has presented the annual rating of the 100 richest Ukrainians.

Oleg Bakhmatyuk ranked #6 on the Focus list as of 2013.

Bakhmatyuk dropped out of the list of the richest Ukrainians after losing part of his assets in the annexed territories in Crimea and the occupied territories in the Donbass, as well as due to the banking crisis, during which the National Bank of Ukraine liquidated 100 Ukrainian banks out of 180, including Bakhmatyuk's two banks VAB Bank and Financial Initiative. Back in 2013 the independent rating agency IBI-Rating calculated the credit rating of CB Financial Initiative and the credit rating of registered interest-bearing bonds of series C at the level of BBB + with a stable outlook. But in 2015, these banks were pulled off the market by a decision of the NBU along with most Ukrainian banks.

Bakhmatyuk lost his position not only as a billionaire, but also as a millionaire - apparently he did not make the list, as his net worth is less than the $50 million limit.
