Ukraine parliament's committee developing bill to fight against religious sects
Head of the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights Halyna Tretiakova has said the committee is developing a bill on the activities of destructive religious organizations, or sects.
According to her, it is about religious organizations that operate as financial institutions and take money from people, as reported by the Hromadske media outlet.
The MP says such organizations are "a whole system with neurolinguistic programming."
"There is such a problem when a financial institution is hiding under a religious institution, which also works with 'black notaries,' which wants to take away a person's property, taking advantage of the fact that the person is in trouble. By programming, they begin to do everything so that he brings funds to this organization. We need to counteract them," she said.
