The U.S. White House has sent to the Senate the nomination of Keith Dayton as U.S. envoy to Ukraine.
"Keith W. Dayton, of Washington, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Ukraine," as reported by the White House on May 14, 2020.
As UNIAN reported earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump tapped Keith W. Dayton to serve as U.S. ambassador to Ukraine.
Keith W. Dayton currently serves as the Director of the George C. Marshall Center in Garmisch, Germany, a position he has held since 2010. He also serves concurrently as Senior United States Defense Advisor to Ukraine. His current service follows a four-decade career in the United States Army, retiring in 2010 with the rank of Lieutenant General.
Former U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch completed her mission in late May 2019.
