Youth center to operate in Kyiv during Euro-2012

Kyiv officials create a Youth Center for 15-20 thousand people, which will operate at the territory of Truhanov Island during the Euro-2012.
The press-service of the Kyiv City Council disclosed to UNIAN, referring to the information oft Kyiv Council Secretary Oles Dovgyi.
According to the Kyiv Council Secretary, it will be a modern youth town, with office buildings, sleeping cottages, a sporting complex, an information complex, guards, etc.. It will be a center for young people, who want to watch football, but do not have any opportunity to pay for a hotel. The town will be dismantled after the championship. Only the sports infrastructure will be left for carrying out other measures in future”, O. Dovgyi noted.
The youth center will not worsen the environmental situation at the Truhanov Island, he said, adding they are not going to build “anything fundamental” at the island during the Euro 2012.
Moreover, the Secretary of Kyiv Council said that helicopters will be involved for providing necessary medical aid to fans during the Euro – 2012.
”We mean a new medical and police helicopters; the automobile part of the Interior Ministry`s detachment is renewed, and ambulance cars are also renewed”, he said.
