One serviceman died and another seven were injured at night as a result of a fire at the Shyrokiy Lan military training ground in Mykolaiv region.
"A fire broke out at the 235th military training ground in Mykolaiv region as a result of violation of safety rules when using a furnace at night. One tent in a tent camp burned down," the press service of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote on Facebook on Tuesday, March 13.

At about 04:00 Kyiv time, tent camp personnel on duty noticed a tent was on fire. They immediately took measures to evacuate servicemen and extinguish the fire.
One soldier died during the fire, while other seven got burns of different severity.
The injured were taken to the Mykolaiv military hospital. There is no threat to their lives.
The fact of the fire and the death will be officially investigated.
