Three Ukrainian troops injured in accident blast on training ground

Three soldiers were hit by a grenade explosion at a test range of the 17th Tank Brigade about 8:40 Thursday morning.

According to preliminary reports, exercises were underway at the moment of the accident, Pershyi Kryvorizkyi wrote.

Operational Command "East" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine later confirmed the accident, writing on Facebook that an "unknown explosive device" detonated at the training ground injuring servicemen.

All three victims were hospitalized immediately. One of the soldiers affected remains in a grave condition.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on April 4, a train hit and killed a Ukrainian border guard as he was monitoring the area close to the borderline.
