The Ukrainian government expects that Gazprom Russian OJSC will pay for the natural gas transit in the nearest future.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko claimed this to a press conference in the Cabinet of Ministers today.
“The government is working within frames of its authorities, and, as soon as we have legal bases, we will pay for the consumed gas. We also expect that Gazprom will pay for the gas transit to Europe through the Ukrainian territory, which was carried out since December of the last year”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.
The Prime Minister specified that Naftohaz Ukrayiny has been fulfilling all its obligations on transporting the Russian natural gas to European countries. “As of today, Naftohaz Ukrayiny even exceeds the plan on the Russian gas export to Europe”, she said.
