Nearly half a million people displaced due to fighting in Donbas
The total number of people displaced from eastern Ukraine due to the conflict there has reached 466,000, Deputy Minister for Social Policy Vitaliy Mushchynin said at a government meeting on Wednesday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"In total, 466,000 people have been displaced due to the conflict in Ukraine," he said.
According to him, 212,000 people have already been registered as displaced.
"As for Kyiv, the figure is about 20,000, but the largest number of displaced persons is seen in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk and Odesa regions," he added.
