Children's Day: Ukraine's birth rate at 1,276 newborns daily

Ukraine, which ranked 186th in terms of birth rate and where 1,276 babies are born per day, on June 1 marks International Children's Day.

Almost 106,000 children, or 1.5% of small Ukrainians, live and get their education in boarding schools.

However, orphans account for only 8%, while the share of children who have parents is 92%.
