Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont has visited Ukrainian-controlled areas in Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine.

"Today, we, together with the commander of the Joint Forces Serhiy Nayev, have met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont," Deputy Chairman of Luhansk Regional State Administration Yuriy Klymenko wrote on Facebook on June 3.

"During the meeting we spoke about the progress of the Joint Forces' Operation in Luhansk region, major challenges and threats on way of establishing peace in our region," he noted.

Dumont showed interest in the condition of industry and agriculture in Luhansk region, he said.

Klymenko expressed hope for establishing fruitful and effective relations with his French counterparts.
