Herashchenko: 1,800 Ukrainians freed from militants

About 1,800 Ukrainians have been released from the captivity by Russian-backed insurgents, including 1,043 people freed with the support of the SBU’s Assistance Center for the release of hostages, MP Iryna Herashchenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.


"As of today, 1,800 people were released from captivity by the enemy," she said.

"In addition, as of today the call-center of the SBU, which was created after the signing of the Minsk Protocol, has received 2,800 enquiries," she added.
