Number of displaced persons in Ukraine exceeds half a million
The number of Ukrainians displaced from Crimea, Sevastopol and the Donbas conflict zone now exceeds 500,000, National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"As of today, the total number of people displaced from Donetsk and Luhansk regions is about 507,000 people," he said.
"The [total] number of Ukrainians displaced from Crimea, Sevastopol and the Donbas conflict zone in the last 24 hours was just over 600 people,” he said.
“This figure is five times less than the daily number recorded over the last week.”
