Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko states about the European Union readiness to invest funds in updating and reconstruction of the gas transportation system of Ukraine. According to the government’s press-office, speaking at a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine today, Yulia Tymoshenko disclosed that, according to calculations, updating and reconstruction of the gas transportation system of Ukraine requires USD 2,5 billion.
As the Ukrainian Prime Minister says, today there are donors who are ready to collect investments on a non-repayable basis, as it was with the Chornobyl NPP.
Yulia Tymoshenko told that agreement on granting funds for reconstruction and updating of our gas transportation system had been achieved during the XII session of the Ukraine-EU Cooperation Council which took place on 11 March in Brussels.
