Residents of Zakarpattia region who received passports with Hungarian citizenship have been included in Ukraine's Myrotvorets database, which lists individuals who pose a threat to the country's security.
"The first five violators of the Constitution and the Law of Ukraine on citizenship have been recorded in the 'Purgatory' section. All data on the presence of illegal Hungarian citizenship at these citizens of Ukraine are confirmed," Myrotvorets wrote on Facebook.
As UNIAN reported earlier, a video was posted on social media showing the consulate of Hungary in Berehove reportedly issuing Hungarian passports to citizens of Ukraine. Klimkin called on Hungary to take action after the publication of the video. On September 19, he did not exclude the possible expulsion of the Hungarian Consul in Berehove.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó in turn warned his country could take new measures to block Ukraine's integration into the EU and NATO.
