"An artillery unit of one of the so-called ‘Cossack’ formations, which was spotted earlier by the [Information Resistance] group, which is being deployed in Luhansk region (a battery of six howitzer D-30s), opened fire on a special unit of the Internal Troops of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs,” wrote Tymchuk, who heads the Information Resistance investigative group.
“The bombardment caused panic among the Russian troops. There are dead and injured," he said.
"Cossack bandit groups operating in the area of Alchevsk-Stakhanov, have been put on "permanent combat readiness" in connection with the plans of the LNR leaders to take control of the area, Tymchuk wrote.
Earlier it was reported that in Antratsit and Krasny Luch in Luhansk region local militants and Cossacks were involved in an armed struggle for control of the area.
