“We have united three serious positive dynamics – first of all, we have significantly raised the real incomes of citizens, secondly, we reversed the bad trend and received the growth of the gross domestic product, and, thirdly, we systematically, month by month, reduce inflation. When all these three components are united, this indicates a vigorous development of economics, the growth of citizens incomes, which are not contrary to the economics development. That is, we can say that our policy looks absolutely positively at the macro-economic level”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.

The Prime Minister informed that in January-February of 2008, the growth of GDP made up 5.8%, compared to 4.9% in January-February of 2007. At the same time, Yulia Tymoshenko underscored the growth of machine-building production volumes – by 34.9%.

“This is a perfect showing, which gives us a feeling that we have a good standing not only in the raw branch, because machine-building is a final product. This gives us a feeling that we are working in structural reforms”, the Prime Minister pointed out.
