Direct investments from Ukraine to EU made up US$5.9 bln

Direct investments from Ukraine to European Union countries have made US$5.9 billion as of January 1, 2008, compared to US$74.8 million, as of January 1, 2007.

UNIAN was told about this at the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.

According to the information of the Committee, the economic showing soared due to the growth of Ukraine’s investments to Cyprus – from US$10.3 million, as of January 1, 2007, to US$5 billion 825.5 million, as of January 1, 2008.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the total of investments from Ukraine made up US $6 billion 196.1 million, as of January 1, 2008.
