Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazansky has posted an archive photo a self-styled "leader"of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" ("DPR") Denis Pushilin.
The photo was made at the time when Pushilin was part of the MMM, a notorious financial pyramid scheme that scammed millions across the CIS region in 1990s.

"When you see such pictures, you understand best how wild the current situation is. And you also understand that anything could happen in real life, and no scenarios are impossible," he wrote, posting the relevant photo on his Telegram channel.
"Six years ago, seeing this sorry man on the street, who could have imagine him calling himself a 'DPR leader' in a few years," the journalist added.
