Institute of Global Strategies director Vadym Karasyov claims that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will see a new wave of problems in the energy sphere, which will cause the growth of the gas prices.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this to a press conference in UNIAN today.
“The gas price will be not less than US $320 [for a thousand cu m - UNIAN]. It will be a shock for the Ukrainian industry, and a shock for everybody”, V.Karasyov claimed.
According to him, the agreements, which were achieved by the government in the gas sphere, as of today, are “nothing but postponing the problem”. “In line with the wording of the agreement, it means that we should expect the year 2009 as a shocking year for the economics and social state of people”, the expert pointed out.
V.Karasyov stressed that the work of the government should focus on the anti-crisis economical, and not political, activities.
