Ukrainian airman dies in chopper crash near Kyiv, two others injured
A Ukrainian air force officer died and two were injured on Tuesday when an Mi-24 military helicopter crashed outside the city of Kyiv, TSN television news has reported.
The helicopter crashed in the Vassilkovskaya district of Kyiv region, TSN reported, quoting information from the prosecutor of Kyiv region.
The two injured airmen have been hospitalized.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the crashed helicopter was one of two aircraft making a flight from Poltava to Zhytomir.
The cause of the crash is being investigated. The crash site has been cordoned off by the military.
