Ukrainians to have 9 days off

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has issued a decree on shifting workdays in April of 2008.

According to the Ukrainian government’s press-office, in order to create favorable conditions for celebrating the Easter (on April 27) and the Days of International Solidarity of Working People (May 1-2), the government recommends directors of enterprises, institutions, and organizations (except for the Pension Fund of Ukraine, the Ukrainian State Mailing Company “Ukrposhta”, the State Treasury, and banking institutions), to shift working days from Tuesday, April 29 to Saturday, May 17, and from Wednesday, April 30, to Saturday, May 31. Thus, Ukrainians will have days off from April 26 to May 4.
