Ukraine will spend UAH 240 million, or US$9.7 million, to promote its tourism potential in 2020.

This sum is stipulated in the finalized draft budget for 2020, which was submitted by the Ukrainian government to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, for consideration in the second reading.
"Some UAH 240 million [is to be allocated] for the implementation of measures to promote the tourism potential of Ukraine abroad and within the country and pilot projects for the development of tourism infrastructure and the ability of individual regions," the document says.
The Ukrainian government earlier authorized the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine to manage the tourism sector.
