Ukraine to increase its military personnel in Afghanistan – DefMin
Ukrainians will serve within frames of the Swedish subdivision
The Defense Ministry of Ukraine plans to increase the Ukrainian military personnel in Afghanistan by 5 servicemen – up to 8 people.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Defense Minister of Ukraine Yuri Yekhanurov claimed this in Bucharest today.
According to him, the Ukrainian military men will serve in Afghanistan within frames of the Swedish subdivision.
The Minister noted that the Ukrainian officers will be trained in Sweden. “We will increase our contingent in Afghanistan almost trice. There were 3, and will be 8”, Yuri Yekhanurov noted.
He added that in the nearest future a Defense Ministry’s delegation will leave for Sweden to work out issues of training Ukrainians for Afghanistan.
