Ukrainian border guards and doctors will check the body temperature of passengers arriving from Italy.

"Officers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine together with [representatives of] the Health Ministry will check the body temperature of passengers coming from Italy. A mandatory body temperature screening procedure for citizens arriving in Ukraine from Italy has already been introduced at Boryspil International Airport and Kyiv [Sikorksy] Airport," the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said on Facebook.
Later, the relevant procedure will be used at other checkpoints.
"The border guards are fully prepared for the necessary security measures," the ministry said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Chinese authorities reported an outbreak of pneumonia of unknown origin in Wuhan late in December 2019.
The causative agent of the disease was a new type of coronavirus, COVID-19. The virus is transmitted from person to person, with the incubation period lasting at least two weeks.
On January 30, the World Health Organization declared an international emergency over the spread of the novel coronavirus from China.
As reported by Reuters, a seventh person died in the coronavirus outbreak in northern Italy, while the number of confirmed cases rose to more than 220.
