Suspected coronavirus case in Ukraine's Ternopil not confirmed, local officials say
A Ukrainian toddler, 2.5, was put under observation in the western Ukrainian city of Ternopil after arriving back from a Madrid trip his parents took him to and experiencing certain symptoms of the disease.
Following lab tests, the novel coronavirus has not been confirmed, the press service of the city council told UNIAN.
On March 1, the local hospital got a message that the coronavirus (COVID 19) suspicion was voiced as regards the toddler.
The doctors isolated the patient and carried out a set of necessary laboratory, therapeutic, diagnostic and anti-epidemic measures before lab tests were transferred to the regional laboratory center.
The results showed type B flu.
