Ukraine lifts ban on poultry import from Poland

The State Veterinary Medicine Committee of Ukraine has lifted ban on poultry imports from Poland.

According to the Committee’s press-service, considering that the situation with birds falling ill with avian flu has stabilized in Poland, the State Veterinary Medicine Committee of Ukraine allows the poultry import into the country, under condition that it will comply with the veterinary standards of Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the ban was introduced in December 2007, due to complicated epizootic situation at the Polish territory.
