Covid-19 update for Ukraine: No new cases reported as of March 10
No new cases of the novel coronavirus infection have been recorded in Ukraine, while bio samples of four patients are still being tested.
That’s according to the Health Ministry's Public Health Center.
In its report posted on Facebook, the Center says that since year-start, a total of 40 biological samples from individuals with suspected Covid-19 have been submitted for lab examination.
Only one person tested positive for coronavirus on March 3.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on March 3, the first case of coronavirus infection was confirmed in Ukraine's Chernivtsi. The patient had just arrived from Italy, the country with the fastest pace of coronavirus spread outside China to date.
The man was hospitalized, while his wife, who had also traveled along with the Chernivtsi-based man, was also admitted to a hospital a few days later after a short period of isolation at home.
The woman has no symptoms of coronavirus, health officials report.
