Ukraine's Ternopil region reports first death from coronavirus

A first death from the novel COVID-19 coronavirus in Ternopil region has been recorded at the local emergency care hospital's infectious disease ward.

The victim was a resident of the village of Kovalivka, Monastyryska district, Ternopil's coronavirus response team said on Facebook on March 25.

The man was 68 years old.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service earlier reported 113 confirmed coronavirus cases in the country as of 07:00 Kyiv time on March 25. Four of them were recorded in Ternopil region.
