On the results of the year 2007, the space-rocket industry of Ukraine increased its production volumes by 13% - up to 2.14 billion hryvnias.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, National Space Agency of Ukraine (NSAU) director general Yuri Alekseyev claimed this to journalists today.
According to him, last year 5 rocket carriers of Ukrainian manufacture were launched, and on results of the year, Ukraine occupied the fifth place in the world by the number of launches.
This year, according to the information of Yu.Alekseyev, it is planned to carry out 11 launches with Ukrainian rocket-carriers. “Five will be carried out within the frames of Sea Launch program, 2 – Land Launch, 3 – on Dnepr program, and one will be a launch of Tsyclon-3 rocket carrier”, Yuri Alekseyev told journalists.
He also noted that Ukraine will allocate 250 mln hryvnias from the state budget to finance the rocket space industry in 2008, which is by 4 times more compared to the previous year.
