A second coronavirus case has been registered in Ukraine's army.

"As of 17:00 Kyiv time on April 2, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had recorded one more case of COVID19 acute respiratory disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Facebook on April 2.

In particular, a serviceman serving in the Kyiv garrison, who has been self-isolating since March 23 after being in contact with a sick person, has tested positive for the coronavirus. His test samples were collected on March 30.

His condition is satisfactory, he is undergoing treatment at home under doctors' supervision, it said.

Two other servicemen who came in contact with him on service are self-isolating.

The first coronavirus case in Ukraine's army was reported earlier on April 2.

As many as 140 servicemen are now in quarantine, including in self-isolation, 72 of them will be able to quit their quarantine regime in the next three days.
