The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Ukraine had risen to 1,072 by Friday evening.
"According to the Public Health Center, there were 1,072 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 identified with the use of PCR [polymerase chain reaction] in Ukraine as of 22:00 Kyiv time on April 3," Ukraine's Health Ministry said on Facebook in its evening update on April 3.

Twenty-seven COVID-19 deaths have already been reported in the country.
Twenty-two patients have recovered, their repeat tests have been negative, the ministry said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, there were 897 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine on Thursday evening.
