Ukraine’s GDP grew by 6% in January-March

The gross domestic product of Ukraine grew by 6% in January-March of the year 2008, compared to the same period of the last year; and by 6.5% in March of 2008, compared to March of 2007.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, by preliminary estimate, the nominal GDP made up 189 bln 768 mln hryvnias during January-March of 2008, and 71 bln 211 mln hryvnias in March of 2008. The index-deflator of GDP made up 130% during January-March.
