The total cost of projects in Ukraine`s transport sphere for Euro-2012 makes 74.4 billion hryvnias [US$14.7 bln].
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Transport and Communication Minister Yosyp Vinskyi said this at the session of the Ministry`s board today.
Particularly, according to his words, the investments necessary to prepare “Ukrzaliznytsa” state railway administration to Euro –2012 should make up 14.3 billion hryvnias [US$2.8 bln]. According to the Minister, the finances will be channeled to buy new trains, repair the infrastructure, etc..
Moreover, according to the information of the Ministry, 755 million hryvnias [US$149.5 mln] of investments are necessary to develop the Odessa airport, 355 million hryvnias [US$70.2 mln] – for “Kyiv” airport, 381 million hryvnias [US$75.4 mln] – for “Donetsk” airport, 464 million hryvnias [US$91.8 mln]– for “Dnepropetrovsk” airport , 144 million hryvnias [US$28.5 mln] - for “Lviv” airport, and 3 billion hryvnias [US$594 mln] – for “Boryspil” airport. On the whole, 13 Ukraine`s airports exigently need repairs, the Minister noted.
